Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Virtual Conference – All cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by email to Admin@capcsd.org, no later than five (5) business days before the virtual conference. The registration payment, minus a 20% cancellation fee will be refunded. We regret that refunds cannot be given within one week of the virtual conference and for no-shows.
On-Demand Courses – There are no refunds for On-Demand courses.
Live Webinars – All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by email to Admin@capcsd.org, no later than three (3) business days before the scheduled webinar. The registration payment, minus a $10.00 cancellation fee will be refunded. We regret that refunds cannot be given without a three (3) business day notice and for no shows.

Programs Code of Conduct Policy
As a participant in a CAPCSD program, you agree to adhere to the Programs Code of Conduct.
When you register for a CAPCSD event, you acknowledge receipt and acceptance of the policy. Any violation of the Programs Code of Conduct Policy will result in revoking your virtual access with no refund. We appreciate that all participants will respect the presenters and all attendees.
CAPCSD is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all meeting, webinar, and conference participants. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, guests, or staff, are expected to abide by this Programs Code of Conduct Policy.
CAPCSD has zero-tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, including, but not limited to, sexual harassment by participants or staff. If you experience harassment, or hear of an incident of unacceptable behavior, please contact Ned Campbell, Executive Director, ned@capcsd.org, or Mandie McKenzie, Director of Professional Development, mandie@capcsd.org, so appropriate action can be taken.
Unacceptable behavior includes:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
- Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, guest, or staff.
- Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or national origin; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or presentations; threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, guest, or staff.
- Disruption of presentations during meetings, webinars, conference sessions, or in the exhibit hall. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and CAPCSD staff.
- Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services without prior approval of CAPCSD. CAPCSD reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.
- Participants should not copy or take screenshots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in virtual space.
CAPCSD reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the virtual meeting or event without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and CAPCSD reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting or event, virtually or in person.
Accessing the Clinical Educator Course - Key Principles in CSD Clinical Education
CAPCSD Members CAPCSD's clinical educator course on supervision is provided at no cost ($100 value) to CAPCSD member programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Member programs are encouraged to share access to this resource with individuals engaged in the clinical instruction of graduate students in on-campus and off-campus sites. CAPCSD members can login here to their membership account and find the discount code to the course on the Info Hub page.
Clinical Supervisors/Preceptors working with CAPCSD Members - If you are supervising graduate students for CAPCSD members, your university liaison has the access information to the clinical educator courses. You can identify CAPCSD member universities here and contact the university liaison.
Only CAPCSD members, or nonmembers who could be members (faculty), can create CAPCSD accounts in GrowthZone. Clinical Supervisors/Preceptors go to the course here, add the course to your cart, enter the discount code provided by your CAPCSD member and register for the course. If this is your first time on the CAPCSD learning management system, use the "Create new account" button to create your account.
Technical FAQs
I am having trouble with streaming audio, I can't hear the speaker through my computer speakers, or the streaming stopped...what do I do?
If you are not able to hear any audio through your computer speakers, first check to make sure your speakers are not muted or turned off.
The next step is to refresh your screen by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard or clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
If these options do not work. then reboot your computer and reconnect to the webinar.
I can't see the slides...what do I do?
Please ensure your computer meets hardware, software, and bandwidth requirements.
If you are on a network that uses a firewall or VPN, you can test your access in advance of events to ensure our software will not be blocked by these items using the site. To test your browser, do the following:
Step 1: Perform a browser test. If you see the video and hear music, that means you passed the test and can close that window.

Are there other recommendations so I have the best experience possible?
Yes! Check out these other recommendations we have so you have the best experience on CadmiumU.
- Do not use Internet Explorer.
- Use a PC or Mac with an updated Internet browser that is Active X enabled.
- Make sure you have pop-ups blockers disabled in your Internet browser settings.
- Wifi is not recommended. WiFi signal strength can vary causing bandwidth to increase or decrease. A wired connection gives a consistent signal and consistent bandwidth. A wired connection provides a better experience.
- Audio (sound) is projected through your computer speakers. Be sure your computer is equipped with speakers or the room where the conference is being broadcast is equipped with speakers so you can hear the presenters.
- Check that audio (speakers) are not muted
