As generative AI tools rapidly become part of the academic landscape, educators face a crucial opportunity and responsibility to guide students in using these technologies with intention, integrity, and critical thinking. This webinar explores strategies for supporting student engagement with AI that goes beyond convenience and into the realm of meaningful learning. This webinar will provide practical frameworks for helping students understand what generative AI can and cannot do, how to evaluate its outputs, and how to integrate it ethically into their academic work.
Learning Objectives
- Identify two strengths and two limitations of generative AI tools commonly used by students in academic settings
- Identify two ways to integrate use of AI and reasons to limit its use in academic settings.
- Apply two frameworks for discussing academic integrity, authorship and AI assisted work with students
