.10 ASHA CEUs

It has been six months since the leaders of the Council for Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and the Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology took the stage at the annual conference to provide updates to the CAPCSD community. Since our meeting in Atlanta, both groups have been monitoring several state and federal bills, which impact education and certification, while also conducting their periodic knowledge and skills updates to ensure accredited education programs and entry-level certification meet current education and practice requirements, and ensure that ASHA certification is available for all, including clients/patients/students. Please join the ASHA staff and volunteer leaders in the accreditation and certification departments to receive key updates on recent and upcoming changes.

Learning Objectives

This course is designed with a participation requirement that ensures meaningful engagement and learning. Participants must be present for the entire 60-minute webinar to receive the assessment. The assessment is a key component in obtaining both their certificate of completion and ASHA CEUs. In addition to standard assessments of the speaker's effectiveness and the overall content quality, participants are challenged to demonstrate practical application of the knowledge gained. The required question prompts participants to articulate and list two specific action items they plan to implement. This promotes critical thinking about how to apply new information in their professional practice with a forward-thinking response.
